COLLABORATION WITH NGO RAFIKI AFRICA

At TM we collaborate with Rafiki Africa through three action projects in Kenziga, Sembabule district (Uganda), which contribute to the eradication of poverty, inequality and social exclusion..

Projects include the construction of an agricultural training school, the creation of a drinking water treatment plant and a micro-credit project for local women..

MICRO-CREDIT PROGRAMME FOR LOCAL WOMEN

In most African countries, female empowerment is one of the main challenges in social development.

These micro-loans enable the beneficiaries to start an income-generating activity in order to improve their quality of life and that of their families.

AGRICULTURAL SCHOOL

Construction of an agricultural school where local women learn efficient and sustainable methods related to goat, poultry and beekeeping, or efficient maize cultivation, among others.

WATER TREATMENT PLANT

In rural areas of Uganda, there is usually no safe drinking water, as there are only ponds that fill up with the rains.

For this reason, a drinking water treatment plant has been built consisting of ten taps that will provide access to drinking water for pupils and families at the Rafiki Carmen Pérez González school.

CONSTRUCTION OF THE BOARDING SCHOOL

Setting up of a boarding school where secondary school children will be able to continue their lives and education in an environment better suited to their needs.
